Community College Cyber Summit (3CS) Calling For Proposals
The Community College Cyber Summit (3CS) is looking for proposals for its breakout sessions at its event, Aug. 4-6, at Sinclair Community College, in Dayton, Ohio.
The 3CS is the only national academic conference focused on cybersecurity education at community colleges. This year’s theme for the summit is “Applying the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Framework to Emerging Cyber Technologies.” Any submissions should fall within the specialty area and associated work roles within the NIST/NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework. Specialty areas include Securely Provision, Operate and Maintain, Oversee and Govern, Protect and Defend, Analyze, Collect and Operate, and Investigate.
“We are excited about 3CS 2020 and are looking for innovative ideas to be shared with attendees from across the nation,” states Professor Chris Rondeau, director of Network Security at Bossier Parish Community College and 3CS program committee chair. “3CS has grown to have a national reputation for sharing innovative ideas for training of tomorrow’s cyber workforce. My team and I look forward to reviewing your proposals for what I am sure will shape up to another outstanding showcase of ideas that can be used in classrooms across our country.”
Any submissions should fit into one of five tracks: Evidence-Based, Instruction, Practice, Program Development or Student. Session types include all-day Cybersecurity Skills Development Workshops, half-day Cybersecurity Hackathons and other shorter breakouts.
