National Cyber League Spring Season Registration Open
Ready to get ahead of your cybersecurity colleagues? The time is now as the National Cyber League (NCL) Spring Season registration is open for high school and college students.
The cybersecurity workforce is in high demand and only growing, as more than 1.5 million unfilled positions will be available by 2020. Companies and governments need qualified, highly skilled cybersecurity employees. NCL provides a virtual training ground for participants and validates their skills demonstrated within that venue.
NCL players develop and validate their cybersecurity knowledge and talent across a range of industry-recognized competencies through competitive exercises, where they are then scored based on the outcomes. After the competition, they receive reports (Scouting Reports) on their skillset which aid companies in hiring from this proven talent pool.
The virtual cybersecurity competition simulates real-life work routines and situations. Some tasks they may encounter include correlating multiple sets of logs to identify insider threats within a business or breaking a custom encryption algorithm to decipher communication between hackers. The excitement and opportunities are endless.
The Regular Season Game runs from April 13 to 15. Registration runs through March 25 for $25. The Postseason Game runs from April 27 to 29 for $10 per player, teams of 2 to 5 players. For more information or to register, visit http://www.nationalcyberleague.org.
